We purchased this for our 1 year old, as she loves to walk around the house and pick up her toys. This cart is perfect for her to put her "trinkets" in, and we love, love, love that it is sturdy and doesn't tip over when she pushes down on the handle (like others we tried before. We can't speak for the other uses, but I imagine she will love it just as much.

My husband had no problem putting it together, but said the directions weren't all that helpful.

My only complaint is that the cart is fairly large and therefore heavy for her to turn as she moves about the house.

We loved the look of this product, but were a bit wary when we read reviews about the difficulties associated with assembling. Much to our surprise, two of us assembled it in less than an hour, with no trouble. We heated a very damp towel in microwave, then wrapped the carriage board in it and left it for 2-3 minutes. Then had no trouble bending it in the groove. Began on one side and tapped it in with a small hammer,working our way round. VERY satisfied with this product.

I was hesitant about this purchase because of the concern for assembly. I thought about it for over a year, and decided it was worth trying because it was the quality product i wanted. I read the various thoughts about assembly and decided on the wet towel and iron on the the wood so it would be flexible for assembly. It worked great!! We had no problems assembling and it was done in 20 minutes. It is a beautiful carriage. My 2 year old granddaughter immediately started walking around and she plays with it daily. Don't shy away from this toy because of assembly; use the wet towel and iron idea and it assembles smoothly and it is beautiful.

Like other folks trying to assemble the wooden bucket portion, we broke the plywood piece trying to bend it into the groove even though we wetted it. Magic Cabin was very good about sending us a replacement piece, but we decided to look for something else to use instead. It seemed like the base would crack easily once our daughter started to play with it anyway. My husband came home with a $7 sheet of clear polycarbonate from [@] that he cut down to size, and this worked wonderfully. The manufacturer should use this material instead! It seems a little ridiculous to have to purchase something else when you've already paid [$] for this toy, but I think it will make it a lot more durable and the plastic actually looks pretty good with the rest of the parts.

My one year old daughter loves this product. She was already able to walk when we got it for her for her birthday but loves pushing it around the house with her piggy and other toys in the basket. It is sturdy and does not tip over easily at all when pushed or pulled nor when she climbs inside of the basket which she does quite often to my dismay. NOt sure how the riding portion works as we have only used it as a push cart.

Cons: my husband had some difficulty in putting the item together. Thankfully he works with wood and does lots of carpentry items around the house so he was able to work it out.

I have to start by saying that I love this toy--it is unique and fun to use...it is just a PAIN to put together. I hope that my trial and error can make your assembly a little easier.

Although I was extremely careful when bending the thin plywood that forms the bottom of the cart (I followed the instructions exactly), my first piece snapped. Magic Cabin's customer service is excellent, and they quickly sent me a replacement part.

The second time around, we had great success putting in the piece of plywood by prepping it first (and not the little bend suggested in the instruction book).

To make the plywood flexible enough to bend the plywood without cracking, we used moist heat. We wrapped the plywood in a wet towel and ironed it (with the iron on its highest setting with maximum steam). After 10 minutes or so of ironing, we bent it a few times and it was flexible enough to CAREFULLY insert into the grove of the side of the cart.

It still took two people and long time to assemble, but it didn't crack!! My daughter has been playing with it for a few months and it has held up great.

I have only used this as a push cart so far, but one thing I really like is that the wheels don't move too fast for my little newbie walker.

I assembled the pull-behind version alone, and even got the "crackable" wood inserted in the frame.Would be easier w/ 2 people..kept at it for over an hour, and only glithch was seat screw hole on one side needed reaming out to get bolt thru. Took long time to do that...Phew...my airplane-building husband will be amazed...Off to celebrate .... :)MDB, Michigan

Love the product. My baby has had fun with it once she got the hang of pushing it. She is still young and small so we've only used it as a push cart. Only thing I don't like is the bucket design and the material used, thin plywood. It cracked slightly after she climbed into it. It could be designed squared off and using thicker pieces of wood.

After seeing the reviews I was hesitant to have the grandparents get this as a first birthday gift, but we went ahead anyway. I assembled it today after having it wait in the box for 2 weeks thinking my husband would do it (the engineer), as I was a little intimidated.

After sorting out all the pieces and starting I can totally see how people could break the slightly unbendy basket piece. This being said, there is a diagram in the instructions that shows that piece being bent a few times. I did this repeatedly before even attempting to put it into the slots which really seemed to help. There was a little bit of cracking on the edges but nothing that can be see when it is put together and it still works perfectly. The key to putting that piece in is patience, patience in bending it around the curve slowly. I put one side in and gently bent it into the groove, sometimes having to take it out and redo it. Was this a PITA??? Heck yeah, but it was worth putting in a little extra time to do it right.

We now have an awesome little push toy for my daughter who is cruising but not walking alone yet. Its a little bigger than I expected but she still loves it, and loves putting her toys in the basket and taking them out.

This toy seems like it is made of quality materials and will last through multiple kids. I'm excited to have her use the other features too when she gets older.

I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

We read the reviews and knew that there would probably be an issue with the wooden bottom that everyone says cracks but we decided to give it a shot anyway. Assembly was fine, no issues. Once home I heard a cracking sound and said piece was cracking all over before my eyes without being touched. We are currently looking for a suitable replacement, some type of flexible plastic material, because I see no point in ordering a replacement plank for the same thing to happen again. We really love it other then this issue and hope that the company will start using a different material.

I bought this for my granddaughter's first birthday. She loved it immediately. She is not walking on her own yet, but she took to this right away. It is the correct size and easy for her to walk behind and push. The main thing that is not so great is the wood on the basket, it cracked in several places. I have to get a replacement part. The rest of the unit is constructed quite well. My daughter, who is an engineer, assembled it and said it was very involved. Thank goodness she was there.

I love this toy, and I would buy it again, but the instructions were hard to read, pictures only, and my husband could not build it himself. It was a team effort to build. Getting the basket constructed almost defeated us. Then, the pins that hold the basket steady have both fallen out, making the basket tilt and also creating a choking hazard for my one-year-old. They will need to be glued back in, which I hope will not interfere with converting it to the other modes in the future.

My husband is VERY handy, but this one piece of very flimsy wood that you have to bend into a circle cracked three times!!! We tried to be sooo careful but to no avail. We said the only way we would purchase this product for [$] is if the manufacturer sent assembled. That didn't happen so we returned. Think twice about purchasing this.

My 1-year old loves her walker and we are almost ready to convert to the ride-on toy. Thus far it has been a great toy; her first act of play was to climb into the basket part. I was a little concerned, but it didn't break and has withstood a lot of in-and-out play in the last 6 months. It holds quite a bit and has become a movable toy bin. My 5-year-old has enjoyed it too.

It was given to us as a gift and has been great fun for both of our kids. It was a little challenging to put together because of the piece you have to bend, but if you go slow, it is possible to construct without breaking the curved piece. I even managed to build it by myself!

All of the pieces to this product are very well made except for the wood you use to make the basket part of this toy. It's sturdy enough but during assembly breaks again and again. I was so excited to get this for my twins who were not showing interest in walking. We were never able to use it. See you have to bend this piece of wood and fit it into these groves. it snaps and cracks every time.[...]They should make the basket out of cloth with platic on the edges that need to slide into groves. Maybe that would work.At anyrate I would find a different grow with me walker.

LOVE, LOVE this walker! I did an absurd amount of research trying to find a quality walker for our daughter and am so pleased I chose this one. This is not one of those cheap, flimsy plastic walkers that seem to be ubiquitous, this is an aesthetically BEAUTIFUL item. When we take it to the park we constantly receive compliments and inquiries about it and other children are drawn to play with it. Magic Cabin is the only company smart enough to carry it:) I must admit, it is nice for our daughter to have a toy that not EVERYONE else has. It is a VERY sturdy,solid, high quality toy. The one and only flaw it has has to do with the designer's desire to maintain the all-wood beauty of the item by having the bottom part of the bucket made of thin plywood. DO NOT PUT IT TOGETHER AS THE DIRECTIONS SUGGEST. Instead, before fastening the side pieces, first fit the plywood into them and gently bend them to curve it to the slot. Then attach the side pieces and attach the other side of the bucket. I found it very easy to put together and the tools you need are all included in case you need to tighten or adjust it. The overall design is great, it goes over grass, cement carpet so my daughter can use it anywhere. It is low and wide for maximum sturdiness and she loves putting toys in the bucket to push around. Most importantly, my daughter LOVES it and gets a huge smile on her face when she pushes it around. I will be excited to transform it to the next level when she is ready for it!
