We bought this for our 5 year old son and he is already enjoying it in the sandbox. It seems to be quite sturdy and hoping that it will hold up. The directions are a little confusing (pictures are tiny) and one of the bolts was way smaller than the other one. We did make it work though.

Comments about Product:I got this for my nephew for his 4th birthday and they set it up in the basement without any sand or anything and he and his 2 year old sister spent hours playing with it "pretend." They are having so much fun with it pretending, that it still has not made its way outside to the sandbox! We bought another one to have at our house for when the kids visit.

Worth every penny!
Comments about Product:I usually equate low cost with 'cheap', but that would be untrue in this case. These are inexpensive, but they're made well and have stood up to a lot of use. After looking at similar diggers for around $100, we were surprised at both the price and quality of these. They do the job, do it well, and are a great price!

Comments about Product:We ordered for Christmas, but it was a lousy winter. Decided to wait for his birthday in May. I was unsure, but it was a definite hit. His 7 year old sister also wanted to use it. He is 5. It helped that Dad has a backhoe. He managed to get through the sand into the dirt below. Learned really fast how to fill in the hole.

Not for older children!
Comments about Product:This is a great product if you have a younger child, say ages 2-5. I purchased this for my 3 year old. Its not very sturdy or strong and I fear it will break if I let my 6 & 7 year old play with it. Its priced right for what you get and so far, ours has not broken after 3 months.
