Comments about Product: I ordered the rope ladder years ago (6 maybe). It has seen a lot of use and still looks great. I bought it intending to use it outdoors, but put it up in our basement above a couple of mattresses. It helped my boys get through a bunch of cold winters (we're in NY) by allowing them to get that pulling feeling in their arms that they got in warmer weather from playing on the monkey bars or climbing other play structures. It really has been a wonderful toy for us.
Comments about Product: I bought this ladder to use on my custom built play houses. This one was used on the original prototype and it worked well. The bottom of the ladder must be anchored though or it is impossible to climb. There is a deck under this elevated Play-Haus so I bolted the ladder right to the deck.
Comments about Product: A child using this should have good coordination skills because this rope does move a lot when getting on. However, it does the job and is a great tool for getting the children out of the house and into nature.
Comments about Product: My 8 year old daughter loves this ladder, as she can now crawl up into the tree she likes to climb on her own. The down side is that it is very difficult for a child to climb without it being staked down. Luckily, it was easy enough to make two wooden stakes and drive them into the ground and then rope them to the bottom rung. Probably long tent stakes would work just as well. A good product for the price.
Comments about Product: It is challenging for the kids to climb on this ladder since the bottom is not anchored. We tied it to a big oak tree. My son and all his friends enjoy the challenge of climbing up and down the ladder and my two year old can't wait till he's big enough. Sometimes he sits on a rung and I swing him. The wood starts to look old after being outside for a while, but I expected that. This rope ladder is great for stimulating the vestibular system, developing balance, and learning to keep trying and problem solving.
Comments about Product: I got this for my two kids so they could climb into a tree fort. The rungs are strong wood. So far, this winter, the ladder has held up. We did need to secure the bottom rung into the ground which made it much easier to climb up.
