Love this! Good quality and easy to read instructions. My 6 yr old son can do this very easily and my 3 yr old daughter even understands the concept...can see her doing it better in about 6 months. It is fun for me to do, too:)
Overpriced, but cool

This is overpriced as others have noted, but despite this, it is a nice high quality gift that occupies a child and engages them in productive play. You must order the extra yarn to make the play last.

Would NOT recommend - nice item WAY over

cost WAY too much for a tiny amount.... I feel totally ripped off. Though the product itself is great and I truly do love everything that I ordered - I just feel taken advantage of...I spent a lot of money on many items...refill string should not be that expensive - I expected a lot more to come in the package. :(

My 5 year old loves this product. She can very easily make the braid and it gives her a wonderful introduction to working with yarn. Best of all, she can take it everywhere she goes and work on it when she has a moment. It's portable and fun.

This is a fun way to help little ones improve fine motor skills. The chain that is produced is also useful for crafts. We take this on long car rides, plane trips, hotel stays. My 4 yo caught on quickly and was able to work by herself after just a couple of times working with me. I also own one for myself so we can work together on car rides. I think it is fun!

We love using this braid star, and giving the bracelets to friends. It was very expensive for what it is (there are cheap plastic versions out there), but it is beautiful in itself. I was also disappointed that there was not much yarn in the kit, only enough for two small bracelets. There should have been more, given the cost.
