Follow the journey of a young boy named Peter as he wakes up one morning to find everything covered in snow. Winner of the 1962 Caldecott Medal, this storytime classic is a favorite among parents (and quickly becomes a child’s nightly request). Peter celebrates the day by making footprint patterns, knocking snow from a tree, creating snow angels and even trying to save a snowball for the next day. What makes this book so great is author Ezra Jack Keats’ tranquil snowy day story complemented the calm illustrations, watercolor and collage.
Your child can read along with this adorable beanbag doll version of the main character Peter.

Comments about Product: This book has been a staple on our shelves for many years. This doll was purchased as a gift for my youngest, who was thrilled to find this recognizable, little boy character in his stocking. The illustrations are lovely and unique and the text describes a winter day from a small child's point of view simply and sweetly. A story any child who has played in the snow will relate to, and one which captures the experience for any child who has yet to. Sure to make you crave a cup of cocoa even if read in July!
