I am using the pattern and hair for a doll for my daughters 2nd birthday present. I am just waiting for the wool stuffing to ship so I can complete the doll. The pattern is easy to use and easy to read. And the cotton material is so soft and amazing!

The wool stuffing is so light-weight and yet holds its shape after many handlings. The dollskin fabric is so soft to the touch yet sturdy and easy to sew.

I absolutely love this project! The kit is easy to use, and the result is BEAUTIFUL! The hair is difficult to stitch on if you don't have a sewing machine. It looks more realistic if you do it by hand, though, so I guess it's worth the trouble. My main qualm with this product is that the colors I want are ALWAYS sold out! Last time I tried to order I was willing to use any color hair and skin, so I just bought what was in stock, no problem. This time, however, I'm trying to do a literary charater with fair skin and dark dark hair. Both of these colors have been sold out for months! I'd love to keep buying these kits, but unless the stock becomes more consistent I'll have to look elsewhere.

This is good quality doll skin for the price. It has a nice, smooth stretch so that it's easy to pull over your doll's face without causing unsightly wrinkling. It's easy to work with and clean. Best of all, it doesn't pill! I just wish there were more colour choices! My child's skin tone falls between fair (which is very very pale) and blush (which is freakishly pink, and unfortunately doesn't work well with pastel garments). Similarly, I could not find good matches for other children I make dolls for. The world's people encompass more than five skin tones!! Otherwise, a great product!

I purchased the doll making kit to make a doll for my cousin's adopted child. My greatest frustration is that I cannot order more cloth separate from the kit. I can order yarn for hair and I have all the other items needed from the first kit, but can't make any more without finding more beautiful skin shaded cotton knit material. thanks.

The 12' doll was easy to construct. Directions were clear and thorough. She makes a lovely pretend pal for our grandchild who absolutely adores her!
