You can attract many birds with the Audubon Bird Call, a little birchwood and pewter device that chirps and twitters - imitating several birdcalls - when you twist it. Easy to tuck in a pocket or backpack, or carry around your neck on a string. Handcrafted in New England.

Comments about Product: Both granddaughter and parents were delighted to receive the "gift" in the mail. First of all, the price is so affordable that you cannot possibly see this and not want to buy it. The instructions that came with it were helpful, and even the name "Audubon Bird Call" created intrigue from the get-go. It's loud! You wouldn't think so when you look at it, but my daughter with Mom and Dad brought it with them to the Morton Arboretum and birds were flying towards them when they were using it! The sound is extremely realistic.
The only thing I would add to this is the fact that the mechanism requires a powder to make it work, and they supply a capsule with the order. However, it would be usefull to either suggest a store-bought product that would work as well or enable a source of additional powder that could be either bought directly from Magiccabin or other sources. They're worried that when they run out of powder that will be it for the instrument.
I didn't know anything like this existed, and everyone who sees it wants one. I recommend this product highly.
Comments about Product: the first one to arrive was damaged and poorly packaged; the resin powder capsule was crushed and the bird call was basically unusable. the second one was fine, but the novelty wore off pretty quickly. it's a neat, fun thing to have and maybe we'll get more use of it this summer.
