Young explorers can carry this 2-in-1 telescope/microscope in their pockets or backpacks for up-close viewing of bugs, birds, rocks, leaves and other natural (or man-made) treasures.
Perfect for school field trips, camping, hiking or backyard explorations. 12x microscope extends to become a 7x telescope. Contains an 18mm object lens.
Colors will vary, Blue or Red we will choose for you.
Comments about Product: The microscope function does not work at all. The telescope functions when retracted about 1/2 way. It took quite a bit of fiddling to determine the telescope would focus when partly deployed. My daughter's "real" binoculars work better so this toy is being returned. The concept of a portable dual action toy scope is a good one. This product, however doesn't deliver on function or quality.
Comments about Product: My daughter loves to explore outside and she can take a close look at bugs and leaves, etc., as well as get a good view of the birds in the trees. Great little item!
Comments about Product: I love you, Magic Cabin, but this product is cheap and doesn't really do a good job as a binocular or microscope. My daughter was not engaged, and didn't spend much time playing with it. It's better to buy each instrument (microscope, binoculars) separately.
Comments about Product: We purchased this for our daughter's five year birthday. It is better than I anticipated! It is light, compact, sturdy, and easy for her to use. In order for the "microscope" function to really work, you have to have plenty of light (sometimes we use a flashlight on what we're looking at indoors) and hold it very close, if not touching, to the item. But once we figured that out it has been great!! Thanks, Magic Cabin for this fun and educational gift!
Comments about Product: Thought it would be an easy carry; hiking, camping and backyard exloration. In the end don't waste your money. Suprising cheap quality for MC. It really is more for prentend play vs real exploring. It is hard to adjust for a clear view, if at all for a child. When you are lucky enough to have a good view, you would be able to see clearly just as far without it. Had Santa not dropped them into the stocking, they would have found their way back to returns. Bummer for the kiddos.
Comments about Product: I am always looking for something to engage the grandchildren. This really fit the bill!!! Luckily 3 of them were coming for an overnight the week I received them. One is extremely interested in frogs. She had such fun using the "Optic Explorier" in the pond!! We received these in the fall,so did not have much time to use. We are looking forward to the summer when we can explore the farm more!!!
Comments about Product: I was disappointed to find that the microscope feature did not work. I was able to use the telescope feature just fine, but when trying to view things on a microscopic level, all I saw was a blurry image. There are no instructions or tips included in the box, which was even more frustrating. I won't return it, because I'm hoping my son will simply use it as a telescope for viewing nature afar, but I wouldn't recommend it to others. I will keep investigating and playing around with it just in case my problem is user error. If I find a fix, I'll be sure to edit my review!
