Description
A most innovative (and fun) way to light up the night on camping trips and during power outages, this beautifully made lantern is powered by a built-in generator instead of batteries. Simply wind the crank a few times, which produces electricity to power the five bright LED bulbs! The lantern has an on-off button, padded handle, compass, and neoprene cover for the base, and comes with a whistle, metal clip and instructions.

All-around FABULOUS!

Not only was I impressed with the quality and durability of this great product, my 7-year-old grandson thought it was the coolest gift ever. He walked around with it all day Easter Sunday and is still enthralled with his lantern. No batteries! Seems indestructible and so very useful for indoor play and outdoor camping!

loved it, but it broke...

I loved that you have to turn the crank to get power. The power began to dim within a minute, but did last over an hour before going out completely. The handle broke the first time we used it, but my kids continued to use it and loved it. Worked as a great "night light" while camping.

Lantern that falls apart

I was so excited to get this lantern for my children and with in a month it started to fall apart. The handle broke off and other pieces started to fall off and break as well. It still works but I am not happy about the broken pieces!! Great concept just needs to be made more durable!

Terra Kids Lantern

Lantern looks great and seems to work well. Problem was lack of instructions, no place did it show where the on/off switch was and since it is under the protective covering it was not obvious. Printed materials included (which I had to call to get copies of - since I received NONE) were basically useless.

Cool for a big kid

We gave this to my 6yo outdoor enthusiast for his birthday. He wanted a light for his pretend forts and for looking at books at bedtime in the dark. He was not rough with it, but the plastic handle broke off before the end of the week, and it is quite awkward without the handle. A friend had the same problem.
