This is my daughter's first gnome house and I am so glad I bought it. As soon as I put it together she fell in love with it. She's been playing with it ever since and she especially loves the wooden animals it comes with. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get the gnome dolls because they are discontinued so I guess I'll have to look for a substitution.

This is such a great deal for a Waldorf-style doll house. Yes, the door is annoying. What I found more irritating was the quality (or lack of) of the animals. It would be nice if they were similar in size to the ostheimer animals. [...]

I purchased this dollhouse for my daughter's 5th birthday. I had my eye on it for months, but didn't want to spend [$] on something that wasn't going to be played with. With the recent start of my own daycare, I decided that if she didn't use it, one of my other 5 or my daycare children would. It's been played with everyday since it was given to her. The house seems sturdy, although I couldn't screw the screws in and had to have my husband do it. The door knob needs to be glued in and the ties holding the door on keep untying. I see this as a problem down the road. The furniture seems to be of a good quality, although none of my children knew what the squirrel was. I would redesign that animal, but the rest are super cute!

Only complaint is that the screw that assembles the bottom of the tree to the the tree itself is rounded, so the trees don't sit on the ground flat. Could probably switch screws and it would be fine.

This is a fixture in our living room that is played with by all who enter, even grandparents. It is especially easy to arrange the sturdy furniture and we love the animals that came with the set. Very fun indeed.

My 4 year old daughter loves this house and all the animals. It is beautiful. Our only complaint is that the door is attached by two pieces of fabric. The knot comes undone and the door falls off over and over again! It upsets my daughter when the door is hanging off and I'm afraid the door and fabric pieces will get lost.

Mushroom House is much larger than I thought. Plenty of room for Imaginative play. The house and furniture is very sturdy and the animals are charming. Great buy!

This is a great toy, cleverly designed and completely charming. Everything arrived in a timely fashion. The parts were all there, good quality. The only criticism involves the screws - they don't quite fit and the round pole at the top split when we were putting the house together. No worries - a bit of wood glue, a clamp and a new screw put things right, but not everyone has wood glue and clamps...At the end of the day, however, this is one of the best toys I've seen and it was completely worth a little glueing!

playing house and playing with doll houses are great for building social skills and creative roll playing, my twin sons love doll houses and i love anything fairy or gnome, so this is a favorite.
