The ultimate "first ride" for toddlers, this terrific two-wheeler will have kids clamoring to climb on and take it for a spin. And when they do, they won't want to get off!
Expertly crafted from durable hardwood, it features fat rubber tires for stability, an adjustable seat (with washable seat cover), and a pedal-less design that little ones love - they just use their feet to scoot themselves along. Great practice for a real two wheeler, the seat is adjustable to grow with your child. Use of a safety helmet is suggested. Adult assembly required. Sorry, gift wrap not available.
For ages 2 to 5.

Too big for a 2-year old
Comments about Product: This is a wonderful, well-made, well-designed, safe balance bike. Unfortunately, it's not realistically sized for a 2-year old. My daughter is in the 95th percentile for height, and got the Skuut as a gift for her 2nd birthday in July. Two months have passed and she can still barely touch the ground with her toes. We still have fun - I push her around the driveway on it - but sadly we will have to wait until spring for her to be tall enough to put her feet flat on the ground while sitting on the seat. Right now, it's giving us something to look forward to!
Comments about Product: My son at 27 months is still a little small to really cruise on this Skuut, but he has a lot of fun pushing himself along, and his friend who is a little older/bigger races all over the yard. I can't believe how quickly his confidence grew.
Comments about Product: I love the idea of this bike and have seen many kids zooming around on pedal-less bikes and loving it. However, due to the design, this bike seat does not lower enough for our 2 year old to be able to touch the ground. She is average size. The aluminum framed bikes do lower more. My husband drilled another hole to make it lower, but it still wasn't low enough to the ground. When she grows into it I am sure she will love it. I also think the aluminum ones have more turning radius. I am not sure how that effects the enjoyment. This is really easy to put together (did it without my husbands help). All in all a great idea and a great price.
Comments about Product: The first time my 5 year-old daughter tried the Skuut, she said, "Woa! This thing is wobbly!" and I thought, "I think it may be the driver!" My Ella was having a hard time learning to ride her bike, but wanted to SO badly! So I decided to get her a Skuut to try to help her gain some balance. The third day on the Skuut, she was no longer wobbling, but racing from one end of the house to the other. When Ella's friends came over to play, everyone fought over the Skuut. It's just that fun!
Getting the seat on was a little tricky, because the holes weren't perfectly aligned. However, it was a Christmas gift that didn't have time to be exchanged, so we worked with what we had. In another situation, I would've returned it for one with holes aligned.
Overall, the Skuut bike is well worth the money and the tiny bit of effort required to assemble it. It's been an engaging, safe, fun toy that's helping my daughter gain some gross motor coordination.
Comments about Product: Our grandson has astigmatism in both eyes and experiences some balance problems that make him afraid of most wheeled toys.
He immediately mastered riding the Skuut and seems to be having fewer balance issues overall.
This is a fine pre-bicycle fun ride for a child.
