I ordered the Summer Fairy along with the complete set for my 7 yr old daughter as her Christmas gift from Santa. I have been repeatedly disappointed about several items. First, when the doll arrived it had a hole in the shoulder of the bodysuit. I called and they sent me a new outfit. Second, they really need to update the information and photos of the dolls and their accessories so that the customers know what they are actually getting. I spent extra money to get the accessories (hat/shoes/purse) and they are not as pictured. The shoes are a hot pink felt that does not match the doll at all and they also dont have the ties that you tie around the ankle as show in the picture, so the shoes are always falling off (one is already lost after a couple of days). The hat is NOT AT ALL as depicted! It is described as "felt"...it is more of a parachute type fabric that is a bit slippery and then it is filled with cotton, so it is kind of like a comforter. It doesn't even fit on the fairies head...it is completely unusable and a complete waste of money!!! I called about this and Magic Cabin did NOTHING about it. I would LOVE to have a hat that actually fits. Third, 9 days after she got the fairy the right leg came off. The button hinges on the sides of the knee popped of and the leg from the knee down came off. I just called customer service and I am sending the doll back to be replaced. Not at all what I expect for spending $115!

We started with the Spring Fairy and were so pleased with how lovely she is. I recently purchased the Winter Fairy and am a little disappointed. Her top is cut so low that she looks ridiculous and one of the shoes in the accessory kit is too small. We can't get it on her foot. This was especially irksome since the accessory set is overpriced. The hats are very cute but stay on the head for about 3 seconds. Overall a wonderful set but quality control and better pricing is needed on dolls clothing and the soft accessories. All that said, I'll probably be adding the other fairies over the next few years - albeit with modified expectations.

The Winter fairy is our second fairy, our Summer fairy had been asking for a friend. The dolls are well made and huggable. They hang out in the fairy den which my 4 year old has lavishly decorated with silk flowers. I am disappointed in the Winter fairy clothing they are not as pictured on the website. Instead of the cozy sweater pictured she arrived wearing a vest like the Autumn fairy. Given that it doesn't fasten and the leotard beneath is low cut, it is likely that she is a cold Winter fairy. I would recommend the product but think the pictures need updating.

This is the first magic cabin doll/anything and I must admit, I love it. I prefer dolls and books to other things. I got Petal Summerbee for my 11 birthday and really enjoyed putting together the fort thingy. I was a bit surprised about her face at first but got used to her instantly. I think this is a great doll!

My daughter loves her new doll! Shes cute, pretty, and soft. They're the best presents and the hammock that goes with it is a nice touch.She plays games with her fairy and and I think you can never be too old for fairies or dolls. They're are all pros and no cons! They're also great for travel! Thanks Magic Cabin!

(i got this as a gift) I am almost embarrassed to say I still love this doll... I'm 14 and I've had it science I was...7or 8 I think. I wasn't much of a doll person at all so it just sat there for 4 years on a speacial decorative shelf I had ant then I wanted a little baby to "act" with. (concitering I was 11 and now I'm 14 I'm just going to call it 'acting' instead of play... We grow up so fast don't we? :D ) and ever since then Ive grown really attached to him... :) I love this doll still!!!!!! I confess I still sleep with it every night... His hair is sooo soft! And it has this nice sweet rustyish like smell (not like old rustyish soft smell as though it was but it isn't at all like that smell... I don't know how describe its awesomeness!) but his hair also aborbs smells (like an airplane so put it in a plastic bag (do not put a dryer sheet in it will be too strong a smell...)) if that happens put a drop of essential oil or a squirt of somthing in the dolls hair. I love this doll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -snuggles doll- :)

We own the entire set of fairy dolls, their accessories, the tree house, the silks, and the animals. Some of this was a gift from grandma, some we bought to round out the collection for my two daughters (now age 11 and 7... they were 8 and 4 when we first got two fairies and their tree house). The dolls are snuggly and sweet, as well as beautifully made. Of all the toys that we own, this one has been one of the best, most high quality choices. The dolls are beautifully handcrafted in Latvia, so there are variations in them (which I feel only enhances their beauty). They are stuffed with lambswool and cotton, with incredibly tactile mohair hair that can be carefully styled (no brushes!) using ribbons or the included wired flowers. The clothes that they come with are simple yet beautifully made. The accessories are fantastic--from the hand-knit wool sweater for Crystal Tinselfrost to the adorable booties or the hats. I wish that they offered more clothing options for purchase, but the lack has encouraged us to hand sew, quilt, embroider, felt and bead our own lovely creations, making these even more precious to us as a family. Even my 13 yr old son has played at times (albeit, he was more into the treehouse than the dresses!). I find this set encourages creative play and storytelling with my girls and their friends. One child might play alone by creating an elaborate set out of the treehouse and silks, using the baskets, wool roving, and other bits and pieces. Two children create elaborate story lines to act out, create dioramas with the animal friends, or work on creating new clothing designs. Three or more children will create flying games or travel adventures that have the fairies roaming the house on a quest. Other dolls will join in on the act, whether or not they are fairies. Sometimes plastic animal toys and Breyer horses get in on the action, even the occasional dinosaur. Sometimes musical instruments are incorporated into play. No, they aren't cheap. But overall, these fairies have been played with for many hours, over many years, and STILL are played with by my 11 year old (and of course my 7 yr old). These are toys that hearken back to yesteryear in that they aren't battery operated, don't make noise, and need imagination to play with. I have spent a lot of money on toys that have not gotten nearly the amount of play time these have; in my opinion, these are worth the cost. The only real con that I can come up with is that our cat is utterly fascinated by wool roving and wool rope. We have to be careful not to leave these out or he completely destroys them!

We bought this for my 4 yr. old for a Christmas gift. Unfortunately, the family puppy got a hold of it and ripped off most of the fairy's beautiful hair! I ordered mohair yarn from another website and made new hair for her, and luckily my daughter is fine with that. The doll is beautifully made and great for imaginative play. We also ordered her pet (owl) and accessories (clothes, hat, shoes). I'd love to get the treehouse/accessories, but the price is prohibitive - even though I know the quality and materials are impeccable.

I bought this for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas. This fairy is absolutely darling! It is so cute and she really likes it, but the high price really makes it better for a collector. I worry about her playing with it. It was also a bummer that you have to pay so much extra for the forest friend owl and accessories. So it sits on her dresser on it's doll stand, next to the coordinating unicorn and owl.

All images of these dolls are with the accessories even though they are clearly sold separately. This lovely doll is actually quite plain without the hat and boots - and for the cost I felt the accessories should have been included. Assessing cost we opted for the woodland friend instead of accessories but the fairy looks a bit undressed...

My 6 year old granddaughter who is enthralled with the woodsy folk, just loves this doll. She keeps returning to it for her imaginative play. I presented it to her in a moss filled basket along with the mini fairies which are cute but rather small and get lost easily. The doll however is charming, well made, engaging, and she loves it. I was disappointed that it didn't come with the hat - it seems a fitting accessory. I would like to buy her another one from a different season, but I see this year they are even more expensive than last year - and well, I think I'm priced out, hence the four stars.

I just recieved Tweela Woodfee yesterday, it will be a gift from Santa for my 5 year old daughter. She is more beautiful than I could have imagined! Last year we bought Petal Summerbee. These dolls are wonderfully made, and a delight for any small child. I am sure we will complete the collection for future Christmas'

My 7 YO daughter has admired these fairies in the catalog for a long time. I finally ordered it for her and she couldn't be happier. It's really more beautiful than expected from the catalog. We were surprised that the hat and shoes weren't included (I missed that they were included in the accessories package). However, my daughter isn't too sad about the hat, because she loves leaving the fairy's beautiful hat lose and flowing (the hair is incredibly soft). I would definitely not let my 4 year old son play with this doll. It's just too delicate for that, in my opinion. It's really best for a child who takes good care of their things. I do think it is a special gift for a mature child who likes dolls or fairies! It also fits my desire for more natural toys. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is just because it didn't seem clear to me that shoes and hat weren't included. Like I said though, it's not that important to my daughter. I should have read the details closer, so it's probably really just my fault.

...to commercially made dolls. I am so glad my 5 yr old daughter asked for this fairy for Christmas. Santa was delighted to bring it to her. She's fantastically made and all parts are soft enough to sleep with. She's also been durable enough to survive the love of a 2 yr old sibling. My one complaint lies in the fact that her hat, boots and bag are sold separately. I realize that these are technically accessories, but the price point suggests to me that they should be included. We'd love to collect the 4 dolls, but would only purchase for a special occasion gift.

My daughters got the fairy dolls for Christmas 2009. They had asked for them, and were very happy to receive them as very special gifts. They both want the house for each of their fairies, and are hoping to get them for their birthdays this summer! The things that I like about the dolls - #1 is the hair. It is so soft and manageable. I love that it is not nylon or plastic like Barbie hair that gets destroyed in a week. #2 the clothing is well made and very pretty. #3 The natural materials used in the construction of the dolls make it long lasting and beautiful. These are dolls that I expect they can keep, and will want to keep forever. They are special, but not so fragile that they can't be played with.
