Austrian Wooden Sandbox

Both kids and parents agree that the Austrian Wooden Sandbox is the most kid-friendly sandbox around! Youngsters can play in comfort, while the adjustable vinyl roof shields them from the harmful rays of the sun; when the kids come in, use the safety crank to lower the roof down to cover the sand, protecting it from the elements and roaming cats.

Carefully crafted in Austria, the solid spruce box is bottomless to allow for deeper sand, and sports four colorful corner joints that make comfy seats. Sandbox holds approximately 11 to 12 cube feet of sand. The quintessential backyard play station for families. Adult assembly required. Sorry, gift wrap not available.

Great Product

It was pretty easy to assemble, though you need a bit attention. The instructions are not that precise. And the mechanism doesn't work smoothly due to uneven ground. But it is a great outdoor magnet for my son.

I would buy and recommend the Sandbox

This is a very nice sandbox. My daughter (3 years loves it). It took a little to assemble it ( I would recommend to use your own tools rather than the ones, which come with the set). It gives a nice shade and seems to be pretty durable. Make sure you close the roof if it becomes to windy...

Love it!

My husband assembled this sand box in no time! My daughter is 18months and really enjoys it! It is easy for her to get in and out of on her own. She gets great shade while playing in it.

looks & works great; but worriesome part

this sandbox looks soo cute in our yard. when assembling, be sure to check the part that says to tighten or loosen the screws on the crank to make it easier to raise & lower. before i did that, it did not go up and down smoothly. my only concern about this is--the posts rub against the seam of the roof when going up & down. i can't imagine it will be long before the roof tears at that pressure point, but i will report back...also the safety pins are plastic and i wonder how they will fare in cold weather.
