I cannot say enough great things about this wonderful kitchen! Definitely encourages imaginative playtime, rather than electronic hoopla that distracts the toddler. She loves it!

I have bought two of these kitchens now. The first one I purchased 8 years ago for my then 2 year old son. He LOVED it more than I could have imagined. As we added a daughter and another son to our family, its popularity only increased. We had it for 7 years before it finally succumbed to the DAILY use of three children, at which point we replaced it with a larger model. I recently bought the second kitchen for my 1.5 year old niece, and she LOVES it as much as our kids did. They live in a small apartment and the footprint is perfect for their limited space. The smaller size of this kitchen is another benefit for younger kids. I very highly recommend this kitchen.

This playset is cute, and comes with some accessories, but that's about it. It's cheaply made, so the pieces are slotted and slide together to assemble. This makes it pretty rickety. It also doesn't come with a back, so if you put things in the shelves or oven, they can slide out the back or dent your walls ( if you have it against a wall). I would not by this again, wish I had gone for a better set bc this will not last long!

I originally purchased this for my daughter, but when her 6th bday rolled around, she seemed too big. I was expecting #2, so I held on to it. I gave it to my son on his first bday, a little apprehensive that he might be too young. He loved it and was fascinated with it from day one. We gave him a small child's chair to use with it, so he didn't need to depend on it to stand up. He played with it almost daily for many years. We added wooden vecro veggies, and a set of recycled-plastic pots and pans, and this kitchen has seen an amazing amount of use over several years. My son is now 6, and he still plays with it. He stashes secret treasures in the oven and cupboard section, plays mail/mailbox, hides his toy cars in the oven ("garage"), and will occasionally still "cook" something. It fit nicely under the overhang of our counter in the kitchen, so he played with it almost everynight while I made dinner. After 5 years, it is still a hit. Note: the yolk came off the egg after a few years, but wood glue fixed it. I recall gluing something else too, but I expect that after so much use.
