We have had this toy for almost 2 years now and still love it! It has been played with a lot and still looks new. It has also brought lots of fun to our little ones and looks adorable on our bookshelf. I would totally buy this again and recommend it to anyone for a great toy, but also something to save forever.

Doesn't work for intended purpose

Yes, this is sturdy and well made BUT the shapes fit into random holes so the child does not have to match them. Isn't the purpose of a shape sorter to put the shape in the intended hole? And the angle of the roof makes it difficult to actually line them up for younger children. Yes my 17 month old daughter likes it but I got it as an educational piece. It is also very difficult to move the bottom piece to get the shapes out. I would assume after some use it would become easier. Originally I got this for my sister's baby but when I saw how small the piece were I decided it was better for my older child.

Good quality, not a great size

We received this as a gift and I'm mostly happy with it, but it does have its issues. It is well-made and very sturdy. It is also very large and heavy, a bit too heavy for a baby to carry. It is also much too large for the six small pieces that fit into the holes in the roof. It could fit so many more pieces with its size. My biggest complaint is that the pieces fit into holes they were not intended for, so it's not exactly a puzzle-type shape sorter since kids can fit several of the pieces into any hole they like. Still, my baby likes it and it keeps him occupied and because it's so huge, I can stash several toys in it and store them out of the way when there's not enough room in the toy basket to hold everything.
