The Play Stand is an all-purpose play prop found in many schools and homes. Its uses are as varied as the imaginations of the children using it. It can be a storefront, puppet theater, horse or vehicle . . . and at night, it doubles as a shelf for baskets of toys, and a place to hang costumes, jump ropes, etc. It's sturdy enough for children to sit upon, and yet light enough for young children to maneuver.
Put two together with our Play Stand Arch, and drape them with our Silk Rainbow, (sold separately) or an old blanket, and you now have a cozy fort or playhouse.
Constructed from solid pine, Baltic birch and hardwood dowels, they are of exceptional quality to withstand years of play.
For ages 4 and up.
Shown with two Play Stands, an Arch, our Great Rainbow Silk and Play Silks (both sold separately). Adult assembly required. Sorry, gift wrap not available.

As a preschool teacher, this is in use every day in our dramatic play area. Because ours is a daily take-down classroom, my husband reconfigured it so that we can collapse it and store it and it has held up beautifully. I'm buying another for my granddaughter!

Play canopy was something we wanted to get our older two older children, but never did. Now, with my youngest, we were finally able to add the play canopy to our original play stands and it has made such a difference! It really adds an element of creativity and imagination. Also, It makes a perfectly cozy playhouse when draped with play silks!

We love our playstand! My children gravitate to it, and can often be found sitting under the rainbow silk telling stories, dancing, or even hanging "laundry"--silks and fabric scraps in a basket nearby. It is large, though, and cannot fit through a regular-sized door, so it must stay in our Circle Time/homeschool room.
