This fun old-favorite design dates to 1938, and still enchants children like no other! Painted with bright, primary, nontoxic colors, the rings draw curious fingers like a magnet, especially when the appealing clacking sound they make is discovered. The ingenious rounded wooden base (a trademark design of the manufacturer) causes the cone to rock, spin, and topple over, spilling the rings, creating clacking great excitement, and keeping captivation constant. Made in the USA.
For ages 12 months and up.
In 1789, Cornelius Holgate established a woodworking shop outside Philadelphia. His first products were hearth brushes and feather duster handles. In 1929, the Holgate Company became a pioneer in researching and developing educational toys for children. Norman Rockwell's brother, Jarvis, served as chief toy designer through the mid 1960s, and when Mr. (Fred) Rogers was looking for a company to create his Neighborhood Trolley, he turned to Holgate. Holgate uses the finest American hardwoods to make their toys - each is carefully cut, sanded, and finished to exceed all toy safety standards set forth by the Consumer Product Safety Commission in the US.
Comments about Product: I like this toy very much and am glad I purchased it. It is smaller than I expected and I have put the purple ring up for now because I was nervous that my son might choke on it.
Comments about Product: This charming toy dispenses with the hype of it's more modern conterparts. For instance my sister's kids have on with multiple lights and sounds included that is anoying & overwhelming. This handcrafted item is so sweet and enjoyable that I found myself playing with it! That's how I found out if you spin it on a hard surface, it really does revolve around like a top before it spills over. And if all that wasn't enough, it's made in the USA. I just love it.
Comments about Product: I love this toy, it is very well made and sturdy. Unfortunately it is small. I took the top ring away from my son due to him putting everything in his mouth and it being on the small side. It isn't his favorite toy, but he is only 10 months. I'm hoping he will enjoy it in the future.
